THE CLEFS
When there is a clef at the beginning of the staff, it shows clearly wich note is marked by the clef.
The treble clef, or G-clef, is pointing at the line of the G. Many intruments, for example the flute,
violin and trumpet, are reading the notes from a staff wich a G-clef.
The bass-clef or F-clef, is pointing at the line of the F. Instruments such as a double bass, trombone and bassoon
are reading from a staff with an F-clef.
Also many times it happens that we are reading from a grand staff, a comination of G- and F-clef.
When you play the piano, the organ of the keyboard, you need a grand staff.
A conductor needs to read the notes of all the instruments from the orchestra. In his book, the complete score,
you see a combination of many staffs with G- and F-clefs and also a C-clef.
